Cranberry Pudding

1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Baking soda
1/3 c Boiling water
1/2 c Dark unsulphered molasses
2 c Whole cranberries
1/2 c Walnuts; chopped


Sauce:
1 c Confectioners sugar
1/2 c Heavy cream
1/2 c Butter
1 ts Vanilla


PUDDING: Dissolve soda in boiling water; Stir into flour, salt and molasses; blend. Fold in cranberries & nuts; Pour into greased bake pan & cover (can use coffee can covered w/tin foil); Pour 1/2 cup water into slow cooker & steam on high 3 to 4 hrs. BUTTER SAUCE: Mix all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Spoon over pudding slices when serving.
