Barbecue Beef Sandwiches

2 1/2 pounds beef round steak
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup celery, chopped

Cut beef into thin, 2-inch-long strips. Heat oil in fry pan. Brown steak strips. In slow cooker, mix lemon juice, ketchup, salt, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, mustard, onion, water, brown sugar and celery. Mix together. Add meat strips. Cover slow cooker. Cook on medium heat for 3 hours, or until meat is tender. Serve warm on hamburger buns.
