12 Apples; peel & slice
3/4 c Brown sugar
1 ts Sugar + more if tart apples
1/2 c Pineapple juice*
Fill slow cooker with apples. Add remaining ingredients. (You may substitute vinegar for pineapple juice*) Cook on high 5-7 hours. In the last hour or so, let steam out. Stir now and then. Watch as apples swell some until cooked a bit. Makes 2 pints.
