Barbecue Spare Ribs

5 lb Spare ribs
2 tb Vinegar
1/2 c Catsup
1/4 ts Salt
2 tb Brown sugar
1/2 ts Hickory smoke salt
1/2 c Steak sauce
1 ts Minced onion

Place spareribs on rack in baking pan. Brown in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain fat and put ribs in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
