Chicken and Bisquick Dumplings

5 cups chicken broth (or 5 cups water with 8 bouillon cubes)
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
8 garlic cloves, minced
1-1/2 lb-- chicken
6 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup water
2 c Bisquick
2/3 c milk
1 tsp dried parsley flakes


Place broth, basil , oregano , garlic, and chicken in slow cooker. cook on high for 8-10 hours, or low 3-5 hours.

Towards the end of cooking: mix cornstarch and water and place in a shaker with lid, and shake vigorously. stir mixture into slow cooker broth to thicken.

Dumplings:

Combine Bisquick, milk and parsley. Drop by heaping tsp. onto broth. Check after 10 minutes to see if dumplings are cake like. Check every few minutes until done.
