Corned Beef and Cabbage

4 pounds corned beef brisket
water
1/2 cup onion -- chopped
2 garlic cloves -- minced or garlic powder
2 bay leaves
1 head cabbage -- cut into wedges


Placed corned beef in slow cooker, barely cover with water. Add onion, garlic and bay leaves. Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to 10 hours. If cabbage is desired, add about last two hours of cooking, if no room in the slow cooker just remove the corned beef and add back into to heat last 20 minutes or so.
