2 tbsp raisins
1/4 cup sugar
6 to 8 apples, washed and cored
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp butter
Mix raisins and sugar, fill center of apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Put in slow cooker; add 1/2 cup water. Cover; cook on Low 7 to 9 hours.
Some general comments about this recipe:
Raisins: Some recipes call for a specific type of raisin. If I have it on hand, then I'll use it. Chances are if I have it on hand, they're raisins that we like. I don't see that much difference between one type of raisin and another, especially after a couple of hours in the slow cooker.
