12 chicken thighs - (to 15) (legs or wings work well too)
1 1/3 cup soy sauce, La Choy preferred
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon -- or to taste
2 teaspoons ginger -- or to taste
2 teaspoons cloves -- or to taste
1/2 cup water
Place chicken in slow cooker; mix all other ingredients and poor over chicken. Cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours. (Time will vary on how much chicken is used and whether or not it is frozen. )
Serve this with rice, or with rice patties.
