Chicken a la King

1 cup cooked chicken, chopped
1/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/4 tsp pepper
1 (10 3/4oz) can of reduced fat cream of chicken soup-undiluted
1 (7oz) can of mushrooms, drained
1 (2oz0 jar of sliced pimento, drained
1/4 cup fat free milk
2 TBS of reduced fat sour cream.
2 slices of light whole wheat bread-toasted


Combine first 6 ingredients in a slow cooker placing the vegetables on the bottom. I would personally throw boneless skinless chicken breasts in instead of the precooked chicken. Cook on low in the slow cooker for 8 hours.

Before serving add in the remaining ingredients. If necessary, add cornstarch until it's thickened to a consistency you like.

Spoon 1 1/4 cups chicken mixture over each slice of toast
