Barbecue Chicken

3 large onions, sliced 1/2" thick
2 bell peppers, julienne 1/4" slices
6 chicken hindquarters, trimmed of noticeable fat
1/2 bottle favorite barbecue sauce diluted w/ 1/2 cup red wine

Place onions and peppers on bottom of slow cooker. Place hindquarters over vegetables. Pour sauce over all. Cook on HIGH one hour. Reduce to low and cook another 4-5 hours.
