1 15 oz pkg corn bread mix
Grease a 9*5 inch loaf pan with shortening. Set covered pot on base and preheat to Setting #4 while preparing the mix.
In a mixing bowl, prepare corn bread mix following package directions. Pour batter into pan. Place pan in pot.
Cover and bake at Setting #4 for 2 hours. Do not remove cover during this time. The corn bread sides and bottom will be brown, but the top of the corn bread will retain the batter color. Remove corn bread from pan and serve warm. Makes 9 1-inch slices.
