Smoked Brisket of Beef

2 pounds beef brisket
4 medium white potatoes
6 carrots
2 medium onions
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt and pepper to taste
Liquid smoke flavoring


Line slow cooker with heavy duty foil. Salt and pepper brisket of beef. Place in foil. Pour liquid smoke flavoring over meat. Pare potatoes, carrots and onions. Place on top of meat. Cover with one can cream of mushroom soup. Fold and seal the foil. Cover. Set slow cooker on high for 1-2 hours. Turn pot on low. Continue cooking 8 to 10 hours. Thicken juice for gravy. (Start beef to cooking on Saturday night and let cook until after church on Sunday for a yummy and convenient Sunday dinner!)
