Honey Wheat Bread
3 cups whole wheat flour -- divided
3/4 cup all-purpose flour -- (to 1 cup) divided
2 cups warm milk -- (reconstituted dry milk) fresh may be used if scalded
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 package active dry yeast
3/4 teaspoon salt
Combine half the flours, warm (not hot) milk, honey, oil, yeast, and salt. With electric mixer, beat well about 2 minutes. Add remaining flours; mix well. Place dough in well-greased Bread 'n Cake Bake Pan; cover. Let stand 5 minutes. Place pan in 3 1/2 or 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and bake on high 2 to 3 hours.
Remove pan and uncover. Let stand 5 minutes. Unmold and serve warm.
