1 1/2 pounds dry navy beans
1 cup ketchup
2 cups water
2 tablespoons dark molasses
1/4 pound salt pork (or ground or diced bacon)
1 medium onion -- chopped
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 tablespoon salt
Soak beans overnight in cold water. Simmer for 30 minutes; drain and put into slow cooker. Add all ingredients, mix well. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (HIGH 4 to 6 hours), stirring occasionally.
