1/2 pound lean ground turkey
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 stalk celery -- chopped
2 medium carrots -- peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic -- crushed
1 medium onion -- chopped
1 can diced tomatoes with juice (28-oz)
1 can tomato paste (6-oz)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Combine turkey, beef, celery, carrots, garlic and onion in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.
