Beef Stew with Raisins
1 1/2 pounds beef in 2" cubes
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 can tomatoes - (16 oz)
2 cups carrots -- thinly sliced
1/4 cup dark molasses
1/4 cup sherry cooking wine (or beef broth)
1/4 cup raisins
1 package noodles
Place beef in slow cooker. Combine flour and seasonings. Sprinkle over the beef. Combine tomatoes, carrots, molasses and wine. Pour over beef. Cover and simmer at LOW setting for 7 to 9 hours.
Add raisins last 30 minutes, keep warm. During last 10 minutes, cook noodles according to package directions. Serve stew over noodles.
