Mixed Bean Soup with Cornmeal Dumplings
1 cn Black beans; 15 1/2 oz/rinsed
1 cn Kidney beans; 15 1/2 oz/rinsed
1 cn Garbanzo beans; 15 1/2 oz/rinsed
1 cn Tomatoes; 14 1/2 oz/crushed
1 md Onion; chopped
1 pk Frozen mixed vegetables
4 Cl Garlic; minced
1 cn Chicken broth; 14 1/2 oz.
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Chili powder
1 ts Black pepper
1 tb Parsley; dried
Combine stuff in slow cooker. Cover; cook on Low 8 to 10 hours (High: 4 to 5 hours]. At end of cooking turn slow cooker to High and prepare dumplings as directed.
