Hot German-style Scalloped Potatoes

6 ounces bacon - (to 8 oz) -- cut up
1 package Scalloped Potatoes - (7 to 8 oz)
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
1 can cream of mushroom soup - reduced fat
1 1/4 cup water
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons reserved bacon drippings

Fry bacon until crisp; reserve drippings. Drain bacon on paper towels and set aside.

Combine contents of Scalloped Potatoes package and seasoning mix with celery seed, pepper, and sugar in the slow cooker.

Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and stir into the potato mixture. Mix bacon in. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, until potatoes are tender.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
