Sausage and Chicken Stew

1/2 cup thinly-sliced carrot
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 pound kielbasa sausage -- cut 1/4" thick slices
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts -- cut into thin bite-size strips
1 medium onion -- thinly sliced, and separated into rings
1 can baked beans - (16 oz)
8 ounces frozen peas or green beans -- defrosted


In slow cooker combine all ingredients except the peas or green beans. Mix well, cover and cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours until chicken is no longer pink and carrots are tender.

Ten minutes before serving, stir in the peas or green beans. Increase heat to HIGH setting and cover and cook 10 minutes or until peas or green beans are tender.
