2 pounds wild game burger
1 onion -- chopped
1 parsnip -- sliced
3 potatoes -- cubed
3 medium carrots -- sliced
1/2 rutabaga -- peeled and cubed
1 can whole tomatoes - (18 oz)
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups water
1/2 cabbage head -- cut in chunks
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt -- or to taste
1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
Brown meat and onions. Add to slow cooker with the remaining ingredients and cook, covered, on HIGH for 1 hour. simmer on LOW for 2 to 3 hours.
