Two Meat Spaghetti Sauce
1 28 ounce can tomatoes
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 medium green pepper, cut in pieces
1 small onion, cut in pieces
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cubed cooked beef or pork
1 4 ounce package sliced pepperoni (about 1 cup)
In blender container combine undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, green peppers, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, oregano, basil, chili powder and pepper.
Cover, blend until chopped.
Pour half the mixture into slow cooker.
Add beef and pepperoni to remaining tomato mixture in blender container. Cover; blend until chopped.
Add the mixture to cooker. . . . if blender is not used, finely chop vegetables and meat; stir in tomatoes and spices. Cover; cook on high-heat setting for 3-3 1/2 hours.
Serve over spaghetti. Pass Parmesan. Serves 4-6.
