Bean Soup

1 lb. dry beans, soaked (your choice)
2 quart water
1 lb. ham bone or piece
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped onion
1 bay leaf
3 sprigs celery leaves
6 peppercorns, whole


Put all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours or high 5 to 6 hours. Remove bones, bay leaf, peppercorns and celery before serving. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
