1 package frozen hash browns
1 small carton ranch dip
1 can cream of potato soup
Salt -- to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste
Dried onions -- to taste
4 ounces grated Cheddar cheese - (to 5 oz)
Mix all ingredients except cheese. Put into slow cooker. Place grated cheese on top. Cook on HIGH for about 4 hours.
