Lentil Casserole

1 cup lentils
2 bacon slices, chopped
1 cup stewed tomatoes, chopped, with juice
1 tsp. Chinese five spice powder
1/4 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup cold water

Rinse lentils; pick out any debris. Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 7-8 hrs. or until all liquid is absorbed. Serve hot or cold.
