Curried Barley

4 cups chicken broth
2/3 cup barley
1 to 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp. red (cayenne) pepper
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 cup raisins or dried currants
1/2 cup chopped onions
Plain yogurt


Combine all ingredients except yogurt in slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 3 to 4 hrs. or until all liquid is absorbed and vegetables are tender. Serve topped with yogurt.
