2 large onions, chopped
3 carrots, sliced thin
1 heaping t of marjoram
1 heaping t of thyme leaves, crumbled
1 28-oz can of diced tomatoes with their juices
7 c chicken broth
1. 5 c dried lentils, rinsed and picked over
salt to taste
4 oz cheddar
Put everything except the cheddar in the slow cooker and cook on low for about 6 hours. Once it's done, top each serving with a little cheddar cheese.
