1- or 2-lb. beef stew meat
1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. no-salt herb seasoning (such as Mrs. Dash)
4 or 5 potatoes, chopped
4 carrots, chopped, or 2 cups baby carrots
1 medium onion
1 5. 5-oz. can tomato juice
1 14. 5-oz. can stewed tomatoes
1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, optional
Put stew meat in slow cooker. Add other ingredients. Cook on high for one hour, then reduce heat to low and cook for 6-8 hours.
For added convenience, cut up the vegetables the night before and store in refrigerator in covered container, covered with water. Marinate the stew meat in Worcestershire sauce and herb seasoning overnight. In the morning, drain the vegetables before adding them to slow cooker.
