Ribs

1 lg Onion; sliced in rings
2 lb Pork country-style ribs
1 1/2 c Vegetable juice cocktail
1/2 A 6 ounce can; (1/3 cup) tomato paste
1/4 c Molasses
3 tb Vinegar
1 Teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/8 ts Dried thyme; crushed
1/8 ts Dried rosemary; crushed


In a 3. 5 - 6 quart slow cooker, place onion rings. Place ribs on top of onions. In small mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Reserve one cup for sauce, cover and refrigerate. Pour remaining mixture over the ribs. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high for 5-6 hours. For the sauce: in a small saucepan, simmer reserved mixture uncovered for 10 minutes. Drain the ribs; discard cooking liquid. Serve sauce with ribs. Makes 4-6 servings.
