Spaghetti Sauce

2 15oz cans diced italian tomatoes
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
2 small cans tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
2 lbs ground beef browned and drained
3 links italian sausage casings removed browned and drained
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1/2 c chopped onion
1 tsp minced garlic
1-2 tsp basil
1-2 tsp oregano
1 small can mushrooms do not drain


Dump tomato products into slow cooker first and stir thoroughly until tomato paste is well distributed. Add sugar, garlic, basil and oregano. Mix well. Add ground beef, sausage, green pepper, and onion and mix well. Refrigerate overnight. The next morning turn slow cooker on low and cook for at least 6 hrs. Add mushrooms at last hour. Add water if its too thick.
