Party Dish

3 lb. raw Italian sausage
1 quart Ragu spaghetti sauce
1 c. chopped green peppers
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 quart stewed tomatoes
2 Tbsp. brown sugar


Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place sausage in broiler pan. Prick with fork. Bake 1 hour. (Can use Polish sausage and omit broiling. ) Cut sausage into serving size pieces. Put in slow cooker with remaining ingredients and cook on high for 2 hours, then on low for 3 hours. Serve on heated submarine buns. Serves 15.
