Shades of Autumn Rice

1 cup uncooked brown rice
1 1/2 cup apple juice or cider
1 (10 1/2 oz. ) can condensed chicken broth
1 apple. peeled, cored and chopped
1/3 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 4-5 hrs. or until rice is tender.
