Wild Rice Hotdish

2 cups wild rice -- uncooked
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup onions -- chopped
1/2 cup celery -- chopped
8 ounces mushroom pieces -- drained
2 cups chicken -- cut -up
6 cups chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon parsley


Wash and drain rice.

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Mix well.

Cover. Cook on Low 4-6 hours, or until rice is finished. Do not remove lid before rice has cooked 4 hours.
