Ribs

3 lbs. pork spare ribs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 3/4 C. sliced onions
1 bottle (18 oz) BBQ sauce


Place ribs, meat side up, on a broiling pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil 6 inches from the heat for 15-20 minutes or until browned. Cool, cut into serving size pieces. Place onions in slow cooker; top with ribs. Pour BBQ sauce over all. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low and cook 3-4 hours or until ribs are tender. Serves 4
