Cantonese Style Pork
3/4 pound boneless lean pork cut into strips
2 carrots peeled and coarsely shredded
1 onion chopped
1 red bell pepper cut into 1/2 inch squares
2 cups small broccoli flowerets
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic crushed
2 teaspoons grated gingerroot
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Combine pork, carrots, onion, bell pepper and broccoli in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar and pepper. Pour over pork and vegetables. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or until pork is tender. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
