Saucy Scalloped Potatoes
4 cups potatoes -- peeled and thinly sliced
1 can cream of celery soup -- or cream of mushroom
12 ounces evaporated milk
1 large onion -- sliced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups cooked ham -- chopped
In a slow cooker; combine the first seven ingredients; mix well. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Stir in ham. Reduce heat to low; cook 6-8 hours longer or until potatoes are tender.
Serves 4 to 6 as a main dish or 8-12 as a side dish.
