Black Bean Soup

2 (15-oz. ) cans black beans, drained and rinsed
2 (4. 5-oz. ) cans chopped green chilies
1 (14 1/2-oz. ) can Mexican stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 (14 1/2-oz. ) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (11-oz. ) can whole-kernel corn, drained
4 green onions, sliced
2 to 3 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. dried minced garlic


Combine all ingredients in a 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on High 5-6 hours.

Makes 8 cups.
