4 lb Beef brisket
2 ts Paprika
2 tb Oil
2 Garlic cloves; minced
1 c Onions; chopped
1/2 c Ketchup
1 c Celery; chopped
1/4 c Hot water
Salt & pepper; to taste
1 pk Dry spaghetti sauce mix (1-1/2 oz)
1 c Cola drink
Place meat in large roasting pan and brush with oil on all sides. Sprinkle with onions and celery. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Place garlic on top. Mix ketchup with hot water, onion and spaghetti sauce mix, stirring to dissolve. Add cola. Pour mixture over meat and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, basting every 20 to 30 minutes. Serve sliced when done, or slice entire roast and reheat in gravy next day (30 minutes at 350 degrees for extra-tender meat slices). ALTERNATIVE: Throw everything in your slow cooker and cook all day!
