Apple Butter

8 cups applesauce
4 cups sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons allspice
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 teaspoons cloves

Stir all ingredients together well in a large bowl. Place in slow cooker and cook, UNCOVERED, on high for 6 to 7 hours. It isn't necessary to stir it. Place in sterilized jars and seal in a water bath for 10 minutes. May also be kept refrigerated or frozen.
