Hot Apple Cider

1 gal. apple cider
3 cinnamon sticks -- (3 to 4)
5 white cloves -- (5 to 6)
1 dash nutmeg

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Heat on high until hot. Turn cooker to medium or low to maintain temperature and allow flavors to reach peak. Do not boil. May be heated as much as four hours in advance of serving. The number served depends on size of servings.
