2 Tbsp. bacon grease or olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
1 cup diced celery
1 quart chicken broth
2 cups canned tomatoes
1 tsp. liquid Crab & Shrimp boil
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 or 2 cups okra
2 cups diced chicken
1 bay leaf
1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
Saute onion, green pepper and celery over medium heat in the oil. Add to large saucepan or slow cooker with all other ingredients. Cover and simmer for about 40 minutes or longer. You can use Crab or Shrimp meat or chicken.
