Baked Beans with Bacon

1 lg Onion; finely chopped
1 Garlic clove; minced
4 cn (16 oz) vegetarian beans, - low-sodium w/sauce - or regulr vegetarian
2/3 c Ketchup
1/2 c Long-grain rice; uncooked
1 pk (6 oz) canadian bacon - cut into thin strips
2 tb Light molasses
1 tb Light brown sugar; packed
1 1/2 tb Apple cider vinegar
1 ts Powdered mustard
1 ts Dried thyme
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1/8 ts Ground ginger

Combine all ingredients in large slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 1 hour. Stir mixture. Turn heat to low and cook an additional 6 to 7 hours or until flavors are well blended.
