Mexican-Style Short Ribs

4 pounds beef short ribs
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 can beef consomme - (10 1/2 oz)
1 package taco seasoning mix - (1 1/4 oz)

In a large skillet or slow cooker with browning unit, brown short ribs; pour off excess fat. Mix beef consomme with dry taco mix; add green pepper. In slow cooker pour sauce over the ribs. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

This recipe yields 5 to 6 servings.
