Chilaquilas

2 lb Ground beef
2 md Onion; chopped
12 Corn tortillas; cut into one inch strips
2 md Can tomato and green chilies
1/2 ts Cumin
1 Clove garlic; crushed
1/8 ts Pepper
1 lb Cheddar cheese; grated


Brown meat in frypan, add onion, seasonings and cans of tomatoes and green chilies. Cook and stir 20 minutes. Layer in slow cooker:

1. Meat mixture
2. Tortillas
3. Meat mixture
4. Cheese
5. Tortillas
6. Meat mixture
7. Cheese

Cover and cook at 280 degrees F for 2 to 3 hours.
