Yellow Rice

2 c Raw; long grain, converted rice
4 1/2 c Water
1/4 c Butter; melted
1/2 c Brown sugar
2 1/2 ts Turmeric
2 ts Salt
1 c Raisins

Combine all the ingredients in the slow cooker. Stir thoroughly. Cover. Cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours.
