Chuck Roast

3 md Potatoes, thinly sliced
2 lg Carrots, thinly sliced
1 Onion, sliced
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
3 lb Brisket, rump roast or pot roast (up to 4)
1/2 c Water or beef broth

Put vegetables in bottom of slow cooker. Salt and pepper meat, then put in pot. Add liquid. Cover, cook on Low 10 to 12 hours or High 5 to 6 hours.
