1 pound tomatillos -- coarsely chopped
2 15 oz cans great northern beans -- rinsed and drained
1 14 oz can vegetable broth
1 large onion -- halved and thinly sliced
1 4 oz can green chiles -- diced
6 cloves garlic -- chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup fresh cilantro -- chopped
sour cream -- (optional)
Combine all ingredients except cilantro and sour cream in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Season with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to low. Stir in cilantro and cook 10 minutes.
Serve with sour cream if desired.
