Apple Butter 8 cups applesauce
7 cups sugar -- or more
3 teaspoons cinnamon or 1/2 tsp. oil of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
Place all ingredients except cloves and cinnamon in slow cooker. Cook covered on high 4 to 5 hours. Then remove the lid and add the cinnamon and cloves. Cook, uncovered, 4 to 5 hours longer on high, stirring occasionally.
